Dragon Band Visits Walt Disney World

The Dragon Band enjoyed sunshine and friendship during their visit to Walt Disney World in Florida the week of March 18-22, 2015. The five concert bands that make up the Dragon Band made their once-every-four-years trek to the Orlando area to particiate in Disney's "You're Instrumental!" program, in which a Disney conductor/clinician works with the band and conducts a live recording session in which the band scores a scene from a Disney movie.

Traveling under the supervision of band directors Jay Bach, Ken Johnson and David Lown — as well as approximately forty parent chaperones — some 232 band students visited four of the WDW parks, including Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, the Magic Kingdom, and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
